Technology has the ability to play an important role in democratizing access to quality diagnostics. Through primary and secondary research, EIC was able to map diagnostic gaps identified in the four participating countries to potential digital health tools that could address these gaps. An important consideration, though, when using digital tools for these purposes and to ensure they achieve the desired outcome, care needs to be taken in making sure digital applications are aligned to meet the needs of the end user: albeit a patient, a healthcare worker or a health system manager.

To find out how different digital health tools can address diagnostic gaps for different categories of users, you can access the fullcase study here and the detailed report from FIND is accessible here.
