:postal_horn: Eureka board approves plan to register a Kenya Branch Office :tada:
In pursuit of our decentralisation agenda as outlined in the Eureka 2021 governance roadmap and to enable eligibility for award of some local african focused tenders, the board of Eureka on Monday 2nd December 2024 approved the plan to register a Eureka Branch Office in Kenya.  Longer term, the vision is to establish a independently managed subsidiary in Kenya. Members of Eureka can watch the board meeting and discussion of the Proposed Registration Plan (accessible to members only).

Congratulations and thanks to all involved in the varied due diligence and special thanks to Winold Mbindyo who pushed this idea forward over a year ago and Oscar Shitabaye who developed the draft proposal to the board. This is a big step for Eureka, and comes with several significant additional compliance obligations for banking, income tax, VAT and corporate reporting, which will need to be supported through the management team and our newly established contribution system.
